Curtis James Jackson III, the US rapper better known as 50 Cent, says he is “practising abstinence” in 2024.
In a post via Instagram on Tuesday, the rapper said he has chosen to focus on his goals this year rather than indulge in physical pleasures.
“My new idea is so big, I do not have time to be distracted. I am practising abstinence, I have been meditating and focusing on my goals. I hope this New Year helps you excel to the next level,” he wrote.
The rapper’s sudden pronouncement of celibacy has sparked speculation among fans in the post’s comment section.
Some see it as a genuine shift in priorities, while others believe it is a publicity stunt or a veiled reference to a new project.
“Yes mindset and discipline in order for positive change,” @hattishagrogers wrote.
“50cent thinking about the documentary he is about to put together about puff. Whatever they saying puff did, he did that sh*t “Diddy do it” coming,” @eddie152bang also wrote.
50 Cent began pursuing his musical career in 1996.
He released his first major-label album, ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2003.
50 Cent has also released scores of hit projects and garnered several awards and accolades for his craft.
