The singer was responding to the threat to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari over the country’s security troubles.

Lawmakers, last Wednesday, gave the president six weeks to address insecurity or face impeachment proceedings.

Lai Mohammed, minister of information, argued that the government was working hard to address the matter.

Responding to the development, 2Baba mocked the senators, lawmakers, and state governors who he argued would rather remain in their own comfort zone and blame the president for all of the country’s collective failures.

In a video shared via his Instagram page, 2Baba charged citizens to hold other state actors including the inspector-general of police accountable for undesirable situations that play out within their spheres of influence.

“The whole news just got me cracking up, man. Nigeria is supposed to be called Comedy Central,” the singer said.

“They want to impeach Buhari based on one reason.

“It’s crazy that everyone just hides behind this convenient space and points at the president for every small thing, even as we have governors, senators, house of reps, inspector general of police, commandants, and citizens.

“Everybody is shying away from their responsibility and hiding behind their convenient space. Everything [is about the] president. It’s mad, man.”
