2baba, the singer, has denied viral claims that he impregnated another lady outside his marriage.
Recently, the music icon put out a lengthy statement apologising to his wife Annie Idibia for his flaws as a father.
This raised brows, fueling wild speculations on social media that the singer had sired another child extramaritally.
Annie and 2baba, in 2021, were the subjects of a widely reported marital crisis that spanned a couple of months.
This happened after Annie had called out her husband over his days-long mingle with one of his baby mamas.
With his self-flagellating social media apology, the assumption was that the singer had cheated on his partner.
Responding in a statement released by his management, 2baba clarified that his apology bore no hidden meaning.
The singer further described the reports of extra-marital pregnancy as “totally false and malicious.”
“It is understandable for fans, friends, and concerned members of the public to get curious and seek to know why @official2baba posted an apology to his wife, family, and management a few days ago,” the statement read.
“We would like to put it on record that the ‘why’ is exactly what was explicitly spelled out in the same post.
“The pressure of almost a quarter of a century of superstardom and a wish to focus on making music without the burden of high expectations of a role model.
“Reports of him getting anyone pregnant are totally false and malicious and we urge well-meaning media platforms and members of the public to completely disregard such. It is fake news.
“Many would recall that this fictitious banker character has been repeatedly getting e-pregnant for @official2baba every two or three years since 2014. There is no iota of truth in this allegation.”
2Baba got married to Annie in May 2012. They both have two children, Olivia Idibia and Isabella Idibia.
He had previously been in a relationship with two other women: Sumbo Ajala-Adeoye and Pero Adeniyi.
2Baba fathered two children with Sumbo and three with Pero, becoming a dad to seven kids in total.
