Chadwick Boseman, late American actor, has made history as the first person ever to receive four nominations in a single year in the film categories of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards.

In the list released on Thursday, the ‘Black Panther’ star snagged two posthumous nominations — for lead actor in ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’ and supporting actor for ‘Da 5 Bloods’ respectively.

The two movies were also picked for the ensemble category, making it a total of four nominations for the late actor.

It comes less than 24 hours after he also bagged a posthumous nomination for the ‘Best Actor in a Motion Picture’ category for the 78th edition of Golden Globes.

The annual awards are given by the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) to recognise outstanding performances in film and prime-time television.

This year’s edition of the event, which usually holds in January, is scheduled for April 4 as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
