Mercy Chinwo, the Nigerian gospel musician, has announced her engagement to Blessed Uzochikwa, the senior pastor of the Water Brook Church.
The lovebirds broke the news via their individual Instagram pages on Thursday.
In a short post, Chinwo said she is blessed to have the cleric in her life. She also reiterated her love for him.
“I am blessed to be blessed with @theofficialblessed. The thoughts of doing the next phase and the rest phase of my life with you makes the blessing more real. I love you sweet,” she wrote.
On his part, Uzochikwa appreciated the musician for accepting his marriage proposal. He also described himself as the “man whom God showed mercy.”
“I am the man the Lord showed Mercy! @mercychinwo thanks for saying Yes! I love you dearly!” he wrote.
Chinwo, who won season 2 of the Nigerian Idol, has continued to enjoy fame in the country’s gospel music scene.
The 31-year-old singer has released several hit gospel tracks including ‘Chinedum’, ‘Onyedikagi’, ‘Excess Love’ and ‘Obinasom’.
Uzochikwa, fondly called Pastor Blessed, is also popular for his inspirational messages.
