Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has finally tied the knot with Temitope Adesegun, the Ijebu princess.

The Ooni’s director of media, Moses Olafare, shared a video from the wedding ceremony via his Facebook page.

The traditional wedding was held at Magodo phase 2 axis of Lagos state.

Adesegun could also be seen donned in beautiful bridal attire while dancing to the venue.

“Ooni marries new wife, olori Temitope Adesegun from Ago Iwoye. Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II the Ooni of Ife on Monday 24th October 2022 formally took the hands of Olori Temitope Asake Morenike Ogunwusi in marriage,” he wrote.

“Olori ‘Temmy’ as fondly called danced majestically into the wedding arena at Magodo Phase 2 in Lagos at about 2 pm accompanied by friends and sisters.

“First she was received by her father Prince Adebayo Johnson Adesegun and other royal family members from Ago-Iwoye in Ogun state before she was handed over to the Ooni’s biological father Prince Oluropo Ogunwusi and his wife, Olori Margret Ogunwusi in the company of the Ooni’s siblings, their spouses, other members of the Ogunwusi royal family and a retinue of the Ooni’s aides.”

Adesegun is a princess from Ago-Iwoye, Ijebu, Ogun state.

She studied Linguistics and had a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Lagos.

She worked in the private sector as an administrative executive and public relations officer.

In 2009, Adesegun became the personal assistant to Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya, the secretary to the Lagos state government

Her wedding comes a few days after the Ooni married Ashley Adegoke, a chartered accountant.

A few weeks ago,  the monarch also tied the knot with Mariam Anako, Elizabeth Akinmuda, and Tobi Phillips.

Ogunwusi has had three failed marriages in the past.
