The remains of late actress Moji Olaiya is set for arrival in Nigeria from Canada on Tuesday, June 6.

Yomi Fabiyi, the publicity secretary of Moji Olaiya’s burial committee, said the actress will be buried in Ikoyi Cemetary, Lagos.

“The remain of the Late Moji Olaiya and her daughter will arrive Nigeria from Canada on Tuesday 6th June, 2017,” he said in a statement on Friday.

“A memorial service & artiste Night to follow on same Tuesday at Blueroof, LTV 8.”

Fabiyi had on Thursday said: “The immigration procedure for the return of the body and child to Nigeria is at an advance stage, all documents secured and we shall loose no time to give exact details as soon as we have a green light from Canada. We appreciate your understanding and patience so far.

Olaiya’s eldest daughter, Adunola, 18, had insisted that her mother’s corpse should be brought back to Nigeria.

“She must be brought back. I don’t care what anybody says, I just want my mother’s body,” she had said.

Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), paid for the transportation of her corpse and her baby back to Nigeria.

Olaiya who gave birth to the baby girl in March was said to have died of post-birth complications.

The actress was 42.
