Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, the Nigerian rapper, has announced his engagement to Eniola Mafe, his partner.

The music star took to Twitter to share photos and video clips highlighting their growth in the relationship.

“So [I ] wanted to share that I’ve gotten engaged to Eniola Mafe. I’m generally very private with things like this but I wanted to share my joy with you guys. Pray for us. We will need it! Thank you for your support!” he wrote.

In a post via his Instagram page, the singer added that he looks to walk down the aisle with Mafe in 2022.

“@eniolamafe and I met in Dec 2020 and, straight away, I knew I had found the one. I am excited to announce that we are getting married this year. And we ask for your support and blessings as we embark on this journey,” he said.

Mafe works in the African tech space and, from her profile, identifies with policy and sustainable development.

MI Abaga began his music career when he returned to Nigeria in 2003. Finding his place in an industry dominated by the likes of Modenine, Ruggedman, and Eedris Abdulkareem, he commenced with the production of mixtapes.

MI has received a lot of acclaim for his influence in the Nigerian music industry and his work in the rap scene.

He is credited to have played a role in the emergence of artistes like Phyno, Wizkid, Vypa, and Jesse Jagz.

Others are Ruby, Pype, Tone Ice Prince, Brymo and the latest is KhaliGraph Jones.
