Azeez Fashaola, a Nigerian street music singer better known as Naira Marley, has released his much-anticipated sophomore EP entitled ‘Lord of Lamba’.

The six-track body of work was released on Wednesday — long after he had announced the project in the wake of his ongoing case with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Among the songs contained in the EP are ‘Yanyanyan’, featuring Mayorkun and ‘Mafo’, the singer’s previously released single with Young John, a Nigerian producer.

Others are ‘Tingasa’, ‘Iseyen’, and ‘Tesunmole’, and what the street singer described as the challenge version of his previously released ‘Oja’.

Fashola has been in a legal battle with the EFCC after he was arrested following a controversial 2019 single and social media comments perceived to have upheld cybercrime.

On the heels of the 11-count charges of “conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards, and fraud,” on him, the EFCC had revealed that it retrieved more evidence against the singer during a recent forensic examination.

The 28-year-old singer, who has since ridden to stardom on the back of the protracted controversy, was recently alleged to have been involved in a car theft case.

Fashola would however dismiss the claims as mischievous.

“Car theft? Maybe I need to post my Bentley, Porsche, or benzo. If you like, try to stain my name from today till tomorrow. I will still be the next president. Who’s Adeyemi Fashola aka Naira Marley. Another free promo I’m guessing,” he had said.
